Police probe Peterhead shoreline body find

The body of a man in his 30s has been found in the Gadle Braes area of Peterhead.

A spokesman for Grampian Police said the discovery was made by a member of the public on rocky shoreline at about 11:00.

The death is being treated as "unexplained" by police. The man's identity is not yet known.

Forensic officers are at the scene and police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

The spokesman said the area where the body was found was overlooked by a residential area and was popular with dog walkers.

The force is particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been walking in the area in the last 24 hours, who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously or seen anything unusual.
