MONACO PRINCESS OPENS UP ABOUT 'RUNAWAY BRIDE' RUMOURS
Thursday July 7,2011
The new SERENE HIGHNESS PRINCESS CHARLENE OF MONACO has opened up about the "vicious" and "empty" rumours suggesting she attempted to dump her husband PRINCE ALBERT just days before their wedding.
The South African swimmer married the royal in two lavish ceremonies in Monaco last week (ends03Jul11), but the couple's big day was blighted by stories that the blonde beauty had tried to flee the country three times in the run up to the nuptials.
The new princess has now spoken out to silence the gossip, insisting she is happy and completely "in love" with her husband.
She tells Vogue.com, "It is a shame that those rumours came at such a bad time, but I think they were timed to sabotage such a happy occasion. They are categorical lies. I won't dignify them with any response other than to say that the photographs of me and Albert in love and getting married will speak louder than any vicious gossip and empty rumours."
